John Hallberg was born on April 12, 1988 in Tustin California. John began playing the saxophone in fourth grade at Tustin Memorial Elementary School under the direction of Paul Gordon. He continued his studies of music through school at C.E. Utt Middle School under the direction of Mrs. Flores for three years.
John is now attending Orange County High School of the Arts (OCHSA) and
is in his third year of high school there. There he is in the Instrumental
Music Department, where he is still studying Saxophone. This will be his
eighth year of playing. He has played in such groups as the OCHSA Wind
Ensemble under the direction of Bijon Watson and OCHSA's Saxophone
Ensemble under the direction of James Barrera. John has also studied under
Leo Potts, Justin Padilla, and Mike Reznick.
John hopes to pursue his studies in music, and wants to keep learning. He's
looking forward to two more exiting years of high school, where he will be
learning great new things.
