Why Chris began playing the
saxophone:
I started playing alto saxophone in elementary school because I was
interested in music and, for some reason, I was attracted to the saxophone. I
continued playing it because I enjoyed it. I became inspired by jazz musicians
such as Charlie Parker and Miles Davis and began studying the jazz idiom.
What he is doing with his music right now:
I am currently only studying jazz music and stopped studying classical three
years ago.
What he plans on doing musically in the future:
I want to be a professional jazz musician and plan on attending a private
music conservatory on the east coast after high school. I am very interested
in attending Manhattan School of Jazz Music.
