Age: 19 years old
Doubles: flute and piano
Alex Han began studying saxophone at
age 8. Since then, he ha performed at
Jazz festivals in Switzerland, Holland,
Uruguay, Colorado, Hawaii,Texas, New
York and Ohio. Alex has also performed at
the John F. Kennedy Center, as well as
Lincoln Center and the fabled Blue Note
Jazz Club in NYC.
Artists with whom Alex has performed
include Paquito D'Rivera, Jon Faddis, Joey
DeFrancesco, George Benson, Kenny
Barron, Nicholas Payton, Joe Lovano,
Gerri Allen, Johnny Griffin, Slide Hampton,
Lewis Nash, Rufus Reid et al.
In addition to alto sax, Alex plays soprano sax, flute and piano. To date,
Alex has written four original Jazz compositions and is working on his fifth.
Alex is currently a Junior in high school, and plans to continue his musical
education at the collegiate level.
