Kateri Lirio was born on January 16, 1988 in
Los Angeles, California. Kateri started piano
at the tender age of six when her parents
enrolled her for classical training. Despising
the instrument at first due to much
dedication, she slowly began to appreciate
its wonders by the time she reached her
teenage years. Since then, she has
developed her art continuously for a little
over ten years.
Currently, Kateri is a junior and attends the Orange County High School of the
Arts in the Instrumental Music department. Through her attendance at
OCHSA, she is able to experiment with many realms of music. Being able to
balance rigorous classes, she still manages some time to practice many
genres of music. She has a very wide range of musical taste from classical to
jazz to progressive rock. Kateri currently performs at her church's masses in a
praise band, Power of Priase every Sunday evening. Always looking for new
opportunities, she grasps whatever can come her way to gain musical
knowledge.
In the future, Kateri hopes to attend the Thorton School of Music, USC or
any other college with a well-developed music program and eventually work
her way up in the music business.
