Why Joshua began playing:
I became inspired to play the Bass Guitar from watching my dad (who's a Saxophone Player) play with different bands in the LA area. They played a mix of R&B, Traditional Jazz, Fusion and Smooth Jazz, the Bass just always stood out. I loved the way they would do the slapping technique, as well as help keep the groove going. I have always loved listening to the music of Jaco Pasorius, Victor Bailey, Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten
What is Joshua doing with music right now?
I just finished recording with 15 year old Jazz Saxophonist Isaiah Morphin, who I met last year at the Berklee in LA Summer Camp. The recording is a mix of originals by Isaiah, and some well known standards. I am also featured on my Dad's just released CD Entitled "Like Father, Like Son" it is and Adult Contemporary/Smooth Jazz CD. I just started working on Material for my solo CD hopefully to come out later this year, also starting to sub for different Bass Players in the LA Area.
What does he plan on doing with music in the future?
I love playing the Bass so much, that I'd like to make a living doing it.
