my name is cindy gould and i have been playing for about 10 years. believe it or not it wasnt my choice to play the drumset. in fact, i was kinda forced to play them. i originally wanted to be a timpani player. i remember my dad asking me what instrument i wanted to play and me saying i want to play timpani daddy. well, i also remember a very upset little 5 year old cindy when she was told that timpani drums were "too expensive",and that she would have to settle for drumset lessons instead. so as you can see, the drumset was not my choice... BUT! i do not regret being forced into playing "the drums" one bit. i absolutely adore the instrument i play and i really would not have it any other way. : )

i am in a jazz trio called the 7th step trio and we play gigs and all that fun stuff.i love the members of the group. they have helped me grow into the musician i am today in SOOO many different ways i actually hope to become a professional musician in some way. broadway or jazz [both in new york :) ] i remember all the girls in kindergarden saying they wanted to become ballerinas, teachers, doctors,or movie stars when they grew. well i was an oddball and i wanted to be a musician since the age of 5. its something ive wanted for a long time have worked really hard for so hopefully one day it will happen.
