Friday, November 13, 2009:: New revised versions of Teen Jazz Advice for Young Musicians and Careers in Music have been added to the articles page on Teen Jazz!

As you can see, Teen Jazz has been completely redesigned. Not all of the pages and articles are back up, but we will be working to add them to the web site around the clock! Thank you for your patience.

Teen Jazz is at it again - the teen jazz articles section has been completely renovated. The articles are up in a more organized manner to make for easier navigation.

For those of you that are new to Teen Jazz, I am Shannon Kennedy; a Young Musician, Sax Player, Flute Player, Webmaster and now your host here at Teen Jazz.

What started off as a web site all about Shannon Kennedy's music, Teen Jazz has grown into a much larger site, not only about Shannon Kennedy, but also Young Jazz Artists from all over the World. Teen Jazz has newly achieved multiple focus points, the main being Teen Jazz Artist hosting. Some of the newer aspects of Teen Jazz are advice articles for young musicians, advice columns for female musicians, and professional musician features to expose talented jazz artists to young musicians written by Shannon Kennedy and various other writers. What is coming to Teen Jazz:

Teen Jazz will soon be adding a store for artists to sell their products through. Look forward to this enhancement of teen jazz in 2007! New interviews with Chieli Minucci and Buddy Frambo. Two new CDs will also be coming up about some new jazz releases.

Also, Shannon Kennedy is starting a new section of the site that will serve as a resource page on jazz history and jazz styles. It will also be where the Teen Jazz Legends articles will be located - which will have feature bios on musicians such as Miles Davis, Coltrane, and Bird.

Teen Jazz is Hosting young Teen Jazz Artists with a one page bio with optional inclusion of a photo and links to your personal web sites to help you along with promotion of your musical career - it is all about who YOU are and what YOU are doing musically. Go check out some of the Teen Artists now listed and consider filling out the TeenJazz.com, Teen Profile Submission Form to get involved.


Teen Jazz is also the home of a large collection of articles to help out the young musician. The articles are written by Shannon Kennedy and other writers to aid musical development and provide advice in making musical decisions - such as buying a new mouthpiece or instrument. The articles cover a wide variety of topics - from saxophone and related doubles reviews to concert reviews, the college audition process to playing in a musical. It also includes interviews with professional musicians, advice for female musicians, personal music stories and much more. So if you have any questions - the Teen Jazz articles written by Shannon Kennedy will have answers to your questions.
