Instrument Repair Tips by Rheuben Allen
Repair Etiquette
teen jazz hosted by sax player Shannon Kennedy
How to Talk to A Repair Guy::

Talk to your repairman! Repairman are not able to guess your problems. If you are having trouble in the lower register. Tell Him. If you can not play a harmonic G on your tenor. Tell Him. It is important to have a good relationship with your repairman. There are two things to look for when choosing a repairman. 1. Is of course his ability as a repairman. 2. Is can you get along with him or her. I do not kid myself and I know you will find this hard to believe.... but...... everyone does not like me and there are a few saxophonist that I do not like. *If the repairman will not talk to you or listen to your needs find another repairman.
In general a good repairman will not need to tell you they are a good repairman.
